EXIT STRATEGY
Экзит (exit, англ. — выход) — продажа своей доли в компании. У компании есть акционеры — ее основатели и инвесторы, которые владеют долями в проекте. Когда они продают свою долю, то совершают «выход» (экзит).
Экзит может произойти при продаже доли другому лицу, при продаже доли другой компании (например, в случае M&A), при продаже доли на бирже (в случае выхода стартапа на IPO).

Intrinsically embedded in the concept of a venture-backed entity is the end goal of cashing out of the business in what is known as an exit. The startup may have as its goal either an IPO or an acquisition (buyout) of the firm. The latter form of transaction is serviced by professionals in a sector known as mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The exit strategy refers to the startup’s plan for how it wishes to exit.
